We have such sights to show you...


Ok folks,

It's been a while coming but here are the details of the films we have confirmed so far... we are awaiting 100% confirmation on several films to complete the lineup but for now here's what we have...

I SELL THE DEAD (15)

The harrowing tale of Arthur Blake and Willie Grimes, two bumbling grave robbers embroiled in a series of adventures with the dead and not so dead. With an equal balance of scares and humour and lavish production design, I Sell The Dead is a pitch-perfect vintage-styled horror movie, harking back to the days of Hammer and Amicus.

 

LAKE MUNGO (18)

A community in rural Australia is rocked by mysterious paranormal phenomena following the accidental drowning of a young girl in this faux-documentary that will send a chill down the spine of even the most hardened horror fan.

 

GRACE (18)

A family held hostage by criminals find themselves stuck in a mysterious abandoned village, where any single drop of blood spilled on the ground causes a samurai zombie to emerge. VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL (18)

The directors of TOKYO GORE POLICE and STACY offer their own deranged take on the classic high school movie. But things get complicated as Monami turns out to be a vampire and Keiko is soon transformed into Frankenstein’s monster by her mad scientist father and the stage is set for a showdown between the two. Think Clueless with blood. Lots of blood.

 

COFFIN ROCK (15)

ANGUISH (18)

SHORT FILMS

Bad parenting, a crazed woodsman with a god complex and bizarre family rituals are just some of the delights within the festival’s short film programme which will be screened before the main features throughout the weekend. Highlights include a horrifying vision of work for the elderly in Matthias Vogel and Thomas Oberlies’ Full Employment and a tale of innocence lost in Alicia Conway’s haunting Rite, fresh from this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

We are proud to present a retrospective screening of the films of Rodrigo Gudino, founder of Rue Morgue Magazine. The films include The Eyes of Edward James, the multi award-winning Demonology of Desire and his most recent work The Facts In The Case of Mister Hollow, all three of which have screened extensively all over the world.
